Demand for Bullets Outpaces Supply

  1. "[T]he scarcity of ammo for some police forces, " is a very troubling statement to me. Because of Obama's determination to pass anti gun legislation, he has indirectly started to slowly undermine our local security forces. Because of the proposed legislation, frightened shooters for sport are trying to stock up on as much rounds of ammunition as they can before any type of gun legislation gets passed. By them doing so, the demand for bullets has increased so much that the manufacturers of bullets can no longer keep up with their supply/production rates. And as they buy more bullets, our local cops will not be able to afford or buy enough bullets to sustain themselves. This puts us as a whole at risk all because we want to limit gun usage. If the legislation attempts were to be mediated or modified in a way such that it would calm buyers of ammunition, they would in return buy less quantities of ammunition in fewer intervals. This would allow suppliers to get back into equilibrium with the demand and hopefully stop crippling our local security forces ability to enforce the law.

  2. It is a strange effect that since the election of President Obama gun and ammo sales have gone up dramatically. This is all because of Presidents Obama's desire to pass anti gun laws and limit ammo sales. Unfortunately, many sport shooters feel the need to stock up on ammunition because they feel their rights and access to ammunition is being threatened. These effects have extended all the way too security forces. Since these sport shooters are buying more ammunition than ever, major ammo companies are having a hard time keeping up with everyone's demand. The legislation has done nothing so far to ease the fear of these sport shooters. As a result of this, sport shooters continue buying ammo in large quantities, diminishing supplies for our security and many other gun enthusiasts.
