In a high profile example of the strain workers dwell under in transitional times, there have been an unusually high rash of suicides at the French telecom company. Click on the link above and decide whether this is a true crisis or primadonna. Though that may sound cold, a look deeper into the company finds that phone workers in France have a lot more job security than American telecom workers.

  1. It is very regrettable that these french workers are taking their own lives because of the sad economic situation. It is unfortunate that not only has it gotten to this state, but the entire world is slumping, not just america. This is a sign to encourage Americans to start spending and stimulating the world economy, and I would encourage frenchmen to stay away from careers that include telemarketers.

  2. The fact that French telecom workers are committing suicide is very unfortunate. How do the families feel when they find out one of its members killed themselves? I personally feel that suicide isn't the answer, and no matter what, family is the most important thing and can help you get through your problems. The telecom workers must think not about suicide, but about the people they will hurt if they do commit suicide.

  3. The work conditions that these people are Currently being subjected to must be deplorable or painful enough that they are committing suicide. or something is happening that is convincing large numbers of people to kill themselves. what makes little sense is their are so many unemployed individuals out there, that the fortunate few are getting so frustrated with their lives that they would go so far as to do this to their families.
