The Sunshine State Is Shrinking!!


For the first time in 100 years Florida's population is shrinking. The calamitous economy has hit the state hard and there are now 58,000 fewer residents willing to wait for a recovery. Unfortunately, the state has a strong dependency on growth but that formula no longer works. The dwindling numbers and the growing allure of staycations means that the state's primary revenue sources, property and sales taxes, will no longer serve as an adequate engine. Broward County seems to be the hardest hit as people abandon their dreams and homes are foreclosed.
